I conducted a survey using Google Forms, to find out what the target audience mainly their likes and dislikes of their current banking app and other important questions that are relevant as part of my research.

It’s not surprising my target audience fell in half the 18-21 year old and 21-25 year old age bracket, as students in university or full time work would use banking the most.

The reason I think most people are with AIB and Bank of Ireland, is because I am from outside Northern Ireland and these would be popular banks in the Republic.

The statistics here are nearly even with half using a type of digital-only app, while just less than half aren’t and a some percentage use one completely instead of a high street bank.

I think if people were more aware of how these type of banks worked more people would change to them.

Revolut and Monzo seem to be the most popular bank, in my opinion these are the ones I’d be most familiar with.

Security, money management and savings are the most valuable feature when picking a bank from responses. I would agree this would be reasons I’d look for in a bank too.

Majority of responses prefer online banking over going into a branch, this is no surprise as it’s more convenient to do something from the comfort of your home.

It is good that most people aren’t experiencing issues with their current banking app.

The main issues seem to be logging in, different services not functioning, loading issues, transfers and suspicious activity.

These aren’t the worst issues the people are experiencing, as most could be a glitch in the app or easily resolved.
