As a group, we researched several key areas that have a significant impact on university students. We looked into how concentration affects students' ability to succeed academically, the mental health challenges that many face, and the difficulties universities encounter in supporting their students. As well, we explored the personal struggles students go through, from managing stress to balancing academic and social pressures. By understanding these different factors, we gained a clearer picture of the challenges students face and how our solution could help address their needs more effectively.

At first, I found researching as part of a group quite challenging, since it wasn’t something I was used to. However, it quickly proved to be an effective approach—especially given how broad the university sector is. Trying to cover everything on my own in just three weeks would’ve been overwhelming. Working in a group allowed us to divide the topics and share insights, which made the process more manageable and efficient.

It was also helpful to see what others were researching. If someone found something interesting, I could dig deeper into it, which made the research feel more collaborative and engaging. Using Miro to compile our research was completely new to me as well. I struggled with it at first, but I eventually started to enjoy it. The sticky notes helped summarise key points from articles clearly, and the arrows made it easy to spot connections between different findings.

I am looking forward to trying out this type of research again during placement and in final year.
