From looking back at my survey results the main areas people looked for in a banking app:

These are the important features the majority of users wanted in a banking app, and I think I’ve done a good job including all of these in my own banking app.

My goal was to make sure the features were aimed to my target audience 18-25 years old, as an individual and my peers in this age group it was easier to gather this information, what areas were important to them.

One thing in particular I wanted to achieve was to create an interface that was minimal and easy to use, because from conducting a survey I found out that users having difficulties with easy navigation.

The main features that were vital to users was money management and money tracking. In my banking app, I used Revolut as guidance following their features of “budgeting” and “spending. This is so the user can easily see where their money is being spent and can set monthly budget amounts to follow.

In my survey results, someone mentioned how accessibility was a big aspect that they looked for in a banking app. To do this, I used a colour checker and tints & shades generator so that the colours could be easily read. Also, I used a typography hierarchy so that you could easily see the information on the screen.

Lastly, savings was another feature my demographic looked for when choosing a bank. I decided to follow Revolut’s feature of money pots, but rename it “saving shells” to match my brand. The idea of this feature is that you can save for something by putting a recurring amount each week towards it.
