Our lecturer gave out post-it notes and pens, and told us to write down all the attributes that you’re hoping to find in placement.
Then, we stuck them up on the whiteboard and split them into different groups.
From doing this task, we figured out that co-workers, salary/benefits and progression were the most important to us.

I found this exercise very helpful in figuring what I want to get out of placement and what type of environment I’d like to work in next year. Also, the salary amount is important when choosing one placement opportunity over another.

The next task we were given was to pick a random job title from the box and try to guess the person next to you in 20 questions. Neither me or Aaron guessed our job titles, mines was a boxer and his has a librarian.
The reason behind this exercise was to understand the most important qualities of a job and the skills that go with it. We need to start accessing our selves.
This was a very informative task as the questions we asked each other made me realise how similar each trait of every job is and we need to distinguish which ones we want to apply to.
