Summary:

How have todays tools shaped us?

We started off by writing on sticky notes, how we feel that technology has changed our society in a good and bad way. Although, it makes communication easier it has effected our social interaction with people, since during Covid we were studying or working remotely.

Looking at Tinder’s design, I’m amazed at how it reflects society’s focus on speed and instant results in online interactions. The simplicity of swiping and matching meets our need for convenience, but it also makes me question the depth of relationships and the potential for addiction. As a designer, this makes me think about how to create products that keep users engaged while also encouraging real, meaningful connections.

Adoptly:

This is a modern adoption platform designed to make the journey to parenthood more accessible and streamlined.

With just a few swipes, prospective parents can connect with adoption agencies, view profiles of children in need of a family, and begin the adoption process.

This platform shows how powerful technology can be in transforming lives. It’s inspiring to think about how a simple, user-friendly design can help connect families and children in need, making the adoption process more accessible and efficient.

It makes me think about the impact design can have on human experiences and how we can use technology to create positive, life-changing outcomes.

Humanitarians of Tinder: Connecting Hearts & Causes

This is a platform that connects people with causes, charities, and volunteer opportunities using a swipe-based interface.

Users can swipe right to support causes or match with volunteer opportunities, making it easier to contribute to the community through donations, activism, or volunteering.
