I really found the meeting beneficial, because when we have weekly tutorials or critiques, the lecturer is just discussing our work. We had to time to talk about if I’m enjoying the course, how I’m finding the coursework and if I am struggling with anything.
He asked about time management, although I’m managing my time effectively I told Kyle about how I work three days a week. He advised that I may need to cut down on my hours next year, as the workload will be more and I’ll be applying for placements.
I brought up how I was finding difficulties in focusing on both lecture content notes and project work notes. My lecturer said that it’s better to link the two together, so if you find something interesting in class to bring into your development project work.
Another issue we talked about was having difficulties in choosing colour schemes for projects. Kyle recommended to have a look at Adobe Colour, Coolors, and Adobe Capture, and says it takes time and experience to improve on this.
Lastly, my lecturer said I’m doing very well in the course and to have more confidence in my work and to keep up the good work.
