Landing Page:

The main issues I had when making the landing page was the layout, as this was my first attempt at making one. The first thing my lecturer said to change was the spacing and boxes in the nav bar. He said the boxes aren’t necessary because the words are already sitting on one. The spacing between each word is better to put them together and easily spaced to one side, for a user friendly experience.

Next, Daniel suggested to resize the image to fill the entire section, to reduce the size of the word inside the button and position it underneath the headline. The reason being, it concludes the end of the sentence meaning the user will want to click on it.

Another thing I had difficulties with was positioning the text correcting and following a typography hierarchy correctly. He suggested to be able to see a clear difference between headings, titles and body text make sure there’s an equal size between each one.

Also, the services and statistics section, I couldn’t get the text and boxes to be spaced out without looking spread across the entire page. My lecturer recommend to display the information inside a white card, lifting it from the page and leaving lots of white space around the sections.

The mockups section, he mentioned to move everything slightly up, so there’s less space between each one. I had noticed this, but was unsure how much space to leave.

Lastly, Daniel said I should rearrange the footer, when I was making it I knew it didn’t look quite right but wasn’t too sure how to lay everything out. I added in an enlarged turtle shell, to break up the empty space in the middle and to match the pattern I already included in the middle of the page.
