It was really inspiring to see how diverse his work is, by using geometric shapes helps to create visually appealing displays. I had no idea that this designer was involved in Facebook’s timeline, from watching a video about the process, it makes sense how everything is laid out: highlighting important events in your life. I am particularly drawn to the progress bars in his graph, possibly explore this idea in my dashboard.

The Feltron Annual Report:

Over the course of several years, he generated documents that depicted various aspects of his life annually.

The vibrancy of the colours is powerful but yet used effectively, as it contrasts well against the white background. The visual hierarchy used for the typography, shows the important statistics using a larger font size whereas subtitles uses a smaller size as it has less significance.

This is something I’ll keep in mind when compiling my overall dashboard screen, considering colour, layout and typography.

This is a very interesting and creative way of displaying data, in my opinion. I really admire how much time and effort went into this, although there’s a lot of data displayed here, it’s displayed in a way that’s easily understood due to the the key and illustration inserted. The layout of the circles is consistent by following sizing and colour, making it aesthetically pleasing to look at.

I would like to explore these options for my project, coming up out of the ordinary compositions that turns monotonous data into something extraordinary, because it can be unappealing and overwhelming to the viewers just seeing loads of figures.
